You will have the opportunity to visit a private Tudor Manor House, which is considered one of the finest Tudor Manor Houses in England. This Grade 1 listed building has been occupied by the same family for almost 500 years and was first recorded in the Domesday Book. Visitors will find that the House and Grounds have an easy charm and a warmth of welcome that reflect continuing family use and the passion and love of everyone involved with the Estate.

During the "Exclusive Tudor Manor House Tour", you will learn about the lives of the family who have called this magnificent Tudor home their own and hear fascinating tales of the Manor and much more. The house also has a long and diverse history in film, from smash hits Bridgerton, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Midsomer Murders to name a few.

There are two options for your private tour.

Option 1: Offers a guided tour of the house and gardens, lasting approximately 1.5 hours. You will be immersed in Tudor history, with authentic details such as rusting armor and smoke-blackened fireplaces. Additionally, you can explore the adjoining church, which dates back to the 12th century and holds archaeological evidence of a pre-Conquest building.

Option 2: Provides a more in-depth experience, where expert guides will delve deep into the history of the house and adjoining church. This 2-hour tour starts with tea, coffee, and homemade biscuits upon arrival and concludes with a glass of damson gin, Madeira or sherry (in the winter), or Pimms (in the summer) in the grand setting of the Great Hall.

This tour can be seamlessly paired with a visit to the Cotswolds, Windsor Castle, Oxford, or Blenheim Palace to create a rich full-day experience. Tours will take place in the morning during June and during alternating months can also be scheduled for the afternoon or morning to suit.
