Our day begins with a stop at Donnington Brewery, famed for its beautiful mill setting and honesty box shop. For those who wish, we can arrange in advance a private brewery tour and tasting, offering an insider’s view of one of the Cotswolds’ most beloved breweries. The Cotswolds Pubs & Villages route then follows in the footsteps of this brewing heritage through several of its characterful pubs, including the Fox at Broadwell, before exploring the market square of Stow-on-the-Wold and pausing at the Porch House, England’s oldest inn. A visit to the stylish Daylesford Farmshop offers a modern twist on local produce, while a drink at the King’s Head in Bledington showcases a classic village pub on the green with a low ceiling traditional pub bar.

As the day unfolds, the Cotswolds Pubs & Villages journey weaves through the beautiful villages of Lower and Upper Slaughter, and then through Guiting Power with its welcoming pubs — the Farmer’s Arms and Hollow Bottom — and continues to the rustic Halfway House, choosing one of the three for lunch. Depending on the group’s pace and preferences, we may also enjoy a seasonal taste of local produce at Hayles Fruit Farm before venturing on to the larger villages and towns of Broadway, Snowshill, Chipping Campden, and Blockley, each offering their own rich character and beauty.
